The wait is finally over!

We are delighted to inform our valued clients that a Greece Visa Application Center has started operation in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In partnership with Global Visa Center World (GVCW), the official visa processing company of the Greece govt worldwide, and VFS Global Private Limited, the service started to see some light after years of waiting.

This development comes as a great relief to Bangladeshi citizens who previously had to travel to the Greek Embassy in New Delhi, India to apply for a visa, which was a time-consuming and very complex process.

Hundreds of applicants were in the queue to get a family re-unification, work, and other long-term visas, but appointments and other issues were preventing them to get their desired visas and traveling to Greece.

With the opening of the Greece Visa Consulate in Dhaka, Bangladeshi nationals can now apply for visas in various categories, including employment, family, student, and digital nomad visas, right here in Dhaka. In addition to the long-term visas, applicants from Bangladesh now can even apply for tourism/business (Type C Schengen) visas.

We expect that a lot of problems regarding the appointment issues will be resolved faster now. The opening of the consular service in Dhaka was confirmed by the appointed Ambassador of Greece to Bangladesh, Mr. Asud Ahmed.

Mr. Prabuddha Sen, Chief Operating Officer (South Asia) of GVWC said “The establishment of the visa center in Dhaka for those interested in traveling to Greece for work, education, business, or leisure purposes will greatly benefit the Bangladeshi population.”

Though the applications will be received in Bangladesh, they will be assessed and decided by the Greek Embassy in New Delhi, India.

How To Apply For A Greece Visa From Bangladesh?

Since a visa application center is opened in Bangladesh, applicants now can apply here directly. The visa application center is located at Borak Mehnur 51/B, 8th Floor, Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banani Dhaka 1213 Bangladesh. This is the same address of Italy Visa Application Center operated by VFS Global Private Limited and they are jointly running this application center with GVWC.

Once you secure the appointment, you can directly visit the center to submit your documents and biometrics.

Can I apply for Schengen tourist visas at Greece Visa Application Center in Dhaka?

• Yes, you can apply for your Schengen tourist visa, business visa, cultural or education sports, and family visit visas (Type C) from Greece Visa Application Center in Dhaka. You are suggested to apply at least 30 days prior to your travel date. The longest you can apply before the travel date is 6 months.

Do I need Police clearance to Apply For Greece Visa From Bangladesh?

• If you want to apply for Type C Schengen visas to stay within the Schengen member countries for less than 90 days, you don’t need to submit any police clearance certificate. However, if you plan to stay more than 90 days, the Long term national D category visas (Family Reunification visa, Employment visa, Study visa, and Digital nomads), A Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is mandatory.
