Is Malaysia Open for Bangladeshi Tourist now?

Yes, it is!

… and here is our prediction-

2023 will be the best year for visiting Malay paradise for Bangladeshi citizens.

Wondering why?

Due to the covid 19 Pandemic, the country’s tourism was hit hard. Fast forward two years, and they are trying to recover the industry by inviting more tourists. The visa approval ratio is higher than before for the same reason.

Malaysia’s rich history and culture offer travelers an unforgettable experience.

Malaysia is a popular destination for Bangladeshi immigrants and tourists for several reasons. One reason is that Malaysia is relatively close to Bangladesh, making it easy and affordable to travel there.

“Access to adorable flights, simple visa processing system and religious sentiments are the major attractions for Bangladeshi travellers choosing to visit Malaysia,” said Mohammed Shoeb, Manager of Tourism Malaysia.

Good to know…….

Today, there are estimated that around 230,000 people of Bengali ancestry are in Malaysia. Among the legacy of the pioneers is the Bengali Mosque in Penang which was built in 1803.

Types of Malaysia Visa from Bangladesh

If you hold a diplomatic or official passport, you can travel the country visa-free for up to 30 days. However, you must get a visa upfront if you decide to stay longer.

For Ordinary passport holders, the only option is to get a prior visa before they travel.

The Malaysian High Commission in Dhaka used to issue sticker visas in the past, but it has been completely discontinued since 30th June 2022.

The country currently issues e-visa for all Bangladeshi citizens. You can apply with any authorized agency. The visa is given for 3 months from the day of approval. You can stay 30 days in the country. You can neither extend the visa validity, nor your stay in Malaysia.

One tip for you, btw:

It’s always better to apply via any agency to avoid unnecessary refusals.
